D Ring Shackles?
Thanks all! So many options. Now my only problem is getting it to Canada. So many places advertise free shipping, but not to us north of the border! Nearly doubles my price each time.
There's a major difference between screw pin shackles. Stick with quality, like Van Beest green pin

or Columbus McKinnon

Quality alloy shackles have a 5:1 design factor, meaning that the WLL stamped on them is 1/5 of the load where they will begin to deform. The actual breaking load is typically a good bit higher than that. Many shackles you find at bix box stores, tractor supply, etc. only have a 3:1 design factor. Some are even less or not labeled at all.
Even though there's no real industry standard for winching, the generally accepted guideline is a 3:1 safety factor, so by using a quality shackle with 5:1 rating you can go a little smaller and still have a 3:1 safety margin.
