Home made drawer system added to my 03' Disco 2
It has a very good appearance. I see you are in the Augusta Ga area, I was born and raised in Griffin, in between Macon and Atlanta, off 1-75. I attended school and Co-oped with Ga Tech at Lockheed in Marietta.
Did you get to the Masters Tournament this year? Bubba was awesome wasn't he?

Drawers look great! As to your trip to Mexico and the post concerning your safety. I live in El Salvador (my family is from Glennville, GA) and drive a Disco. I will say that these cars are not terribly common, more so in Guatemala and Costa Rica, so they do draw some attention. The advantage to Mexico is that US plates are not that uncommon. Lots of Mexican nationals that live in the US return to visit. I would recommend not washing the outside. If folks think you don't care about the outside then noting worth taking inside. You for sure need to tint at least the back windows. Most theft in Latin America is theft of opportunity. If they don't see it they won't steal it (smash and grab is quite popular). As to the banditos...I would worry more about police corruption. Once you get away from the border you will find most folks are super friendly, just don't drink the water. Have fun on your trip and with the mods on your disco!
I feel like this old-post-rehash is quite appropriate. I just to moved to Augusta, and would love to do some overland/wheelin' trip with you all if yall still reside in the area.
I'm dreaming up putting some drawers in myself (going big, not going home, since I removed all rear seats). So this post is quite intriguing. BUT I have never attempted constructing anything like this before so I'm quite apprehensive about the process.
My brother in law builds sets for broadway shows, so he would easily know the materials and process. I'll be sure to show him this post! Haha.

yes sir! it's been a few days or a week here, then travelling for work there.
But my other half reports Augusta has looked more like Seattle recently. Doesn't bode well for our trails at Durhamtown, ever been there?
