I haven't finished the mounting hardware yet, unfortunately. But basically, the idea is this: Bolted to the rack will be essentially a hockey puck with a long bolt sticking through the center. You put one track down, then another hockey puck, then the other track, then a big wing nut to hold them in place. And the same on the other side.
I see where you're going with this. Nice idea! I like seeing people going with different configurations. Be sure to post some pics when you get it all worked out!

Thanks! I'll be sure to do that. My aim is to not make them stick out above the side rails. We'll see how that goes I guess.
