Question Slight Radiator Mod (change)

Hello all, I hope someone is able to help me on this issue. I need to replace my radiator in my 2000 disco2. The plastic tip on the top right of the radiator broke off. It was still connected to the hose but leaking causing it to run hot. My part number is PCC000650. I found a used 1997 Disco Sport radiator but it has a different part number. I called land Rover who said the part numbers are different but couldn't tell me if the 97 will actually work in the 2000. Does anyone know if this will work, putting the 97 radiator into a 2000? Ive read where the sides of the radiator is plastic but the design has been improved since the original and it doesn't leak like they used to. Can anyone verify that? I look forward to your responses, Thank you in advance.

I had the same issue. I bought a new replacement from Rockauto for $146.00. Its worked well for me. It was the SPECTRA PREMIUM CU2930

You can even get a 50-75 radiator off of Ebay that works great.
