vinyl wrap.....going to do it. any advise?
So did you wrap it or is the very large box of wrap still sitting in your garage? I have seen a couple of Camaro's and a Challenger wrapped recently up close. Both were done in a Matt Black...looked awesome. I think the Matte Grey will look good as well.
yeah.... wasted about $600 on vinyl and another $300 on plasti dip...... (wasted 2 panels worth of vinyl, before I decided it was for the more patient type installer) bought plasti dip and will apply until I can find a place to get the vinyl put on.....
I am a dufus!

This was my winter truck, It was about 3k to wrap, but paint job was like 6k. I like the wrap better. Recently sold truck this year to fund new 2011 F450. I would do it again, thinking maybe my 98 disco in winter camo.If you know someone who owns a business, www.fellers.com is where you can get vinyl cheap. However you won't find in digi winter camo, the local wrap shop designed and created the file for me. Here is my trailer too.

As old as this is, I'll chime in.
Wraps.......are as good as where you live. Friend had his Yota wrapped 2 years ago, the Kentucky summers pealed all the edges back....it's junk.......That's all I got........if not garage kept during the hot months, don't expect long term...

so check it out the 3m 1080 is top of the line. the matte black is nice but id go with the black satinstead. our discos have very straight panels so not a lot of compound curves. you can buy directly from fellers online for materials. and download the catalogue there as well. very reasonable pricing.
I do wrap with the local sign company and I used the 1080 on my barracuda and will be doing the discpo soon also. the control tach on the 1080 lets you reposition it a lot of times to get the wrap smooth. just make sure your wrapping in a very clean area. and make sure once your done with the panel. use a temp gauge and heat vinyl to 95 to 120 c to break the memory of the vinyl so it stays in the shape you want. if not it will eventually try to pull up to its own memory. any other questions let me know.

I've been looking at doing mine recently in mossy oak shadow grass and linex roof. Think I'll remove the fender flares before hand since they are faded any ways. I believe mossy oak uses the 3m 1080. Not sure though
