2.PLACE A HAND FULL OF SHOP TOWELS UNDER FILTER FOR SPILLAGE.
3.PRESS TO RELEASE TAB, TO FREE UP FILTER CRADLE.
4.GENTLE PULL ASSEMBLE UP, TO GAIN BETTER ACCESS TO CONNECTIONS.
5.THE CONNECTORS ARE SQUEEZE TO RELEASE TYPE. (NONE ARE UNDER PRESSURE WHEN ENGINE IS OFF)
6.THE SAFETY YELLOW CLIP NEEDS TO SLIDE OVER, TO ACCESS THE SQUEEZE BUTTONS.
7.NOW CAREFULLY PULL UP ASSEMBLE ENOUGH TO UNCLIP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.

12.TO PRIME NEW FILTER. PRESS START BUTTON, NO FOOT ON BRAKE. WAIT 30 SECONDS, IT WILL SELF PRIME.( i DID IT TWICE)

13. START UP, AND CHECK FOR LEAKS.

NOTE ON DRAIN TUBE:
IF TUBE IS ATTACHED, AND FUEL ENTERS THE TUBE, IT DUMPS INTO THE INNER FENDER WELL, AND WILL MIGRATE INTO THE CABIN! YOU'LL NEVER GET THE SMELL OUT!!

Excellent information—thanks!

Has anyone found an aftermarket filter? Dealer wants $170, online prices seem to be ~$130. Given the cruddy quality of diesel here, I'm looking at annual filter changes and cringe at the OEM cost.

Your welcome.

Based on my Diesel experience for the past 15 yrs, I change out fuel filter every 20K, its cheap insurance. IMO

I’m at 35k I probably should. But I would do my Jeep’s eco diesel at 50k and it looked brand new.

You replaced the fuel water separator filter, but isn’t there another fuel filter?

Default Electrical clip?

Anyone know where to find the metal clip that holds the electrical connector on? I managed to lose mine, put some tape on the connector but would prefer to have it clipped.

I was unable to find a part number for the clip. Chances are, you need to go to a dealer to get the part number to order.
