Just got truck back from dealership a week ago from a high-pressure fuel pump replacement and a service and now it's overheating.

no codes related to the coolant system.

coolant reservoir is above the max line now.

can the thermostat or water pump fail without throwing a code?

 

If it wasn't overheating before they worked on it, take it back. They clearly broke something.
