I did try this. All doors are locked. I also sprayed WD40 in each assembly.

I believe it’s a sensor issue more than a mechanical one. I keep getting hung up on the fact that the rear gate is indicating an incomplete open every time I open it. I’m wondering if it’s the rear gate actuators? I don’t know where the sensor is to detect rear gate closure.

Are you able to change the rest gate opening height by opening the gate to a position somewhere between closed and fully open? Hold the close button until you hear a beep and it should be set to that height. Just curious if that still works.

Yes - that did work and it eliminated the triple beep at the top of the gate open. Unfortunately it did not resolve the root issue. I'm going to give the dealership a call today and see what they say.

Happened to mine 2 weeks ago, trunk looked like it closed completely but I was getting the same "door ajar" alert. Took it to the dealer, and it turns out to be a faulty latch. Same day turnaround.

I have an appointment w/ dealership tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's as quick a resolution.

Just got the diagnoses back from dealership. The right front passenger door latch was faulty. Replacing under warranty. Thanks for all of the input and help in troubleshooting!
