Hi everyone,

I’ve got a 2018 Disco 5 and looking to get Google Maps, Waze etc installed. I see plenty of third party solutions for AirPlay/Carplay which I think could work for me.

Question is, has anyone tried them on a Disco with any luck?

I just picked up the Motorola version of the wireless android adapter. On one of the FB groups a owner had mentioned she was able to get it to work after doing the software upgrade to the stereo. I am going to ask the dealership to flash mine when the disco goes in for the latch recall we have here in the US. If it works I will post back.

 

Is it possible to get the LR Dealer to install the upgrade pack? My 2018 came with Airplay.

 

It is. I have heard anywhere from $200 to $600 dollars for the software upgrade. I am hoping to see if I can do it at the same time as the door lock recall.
