Default Can my passenger unlock the door?

Can someone in the passenger seat unlock the doors without opening their own door manually? Seems crazy that when my wife is in the passenger seat and locks the doors when I get out she can't unlock them without having to physically open her door...... What's with that?

How does she lock the doors?

It's designed so either front passenger can unlock all doors by just pulling their door handle to open their door. Think that's pretty normal on most cars

She has to manually open the door so that I can get back in the driver seat.....there's only a lock button on the passenger side not an unlock......my rr sport had lock and unlock from the passenger and most of my cars even inexpensive rentals have the ability for the passenger to lock and unlock the door.

Let's say I run in the store in a crummy neighborhood and she stays in the car.... she'll lock it after I get out but must actually physically open her door so that I can get back inside....seems nuts for an 80k car.

I never noticed this as a problem so I just went to check - yes, passenger side only has lock button.
But my 2017 HSE has keyless entry/start. So if I leave my wife in the passenger seat and get out, if she locks the doors, when I return, as soon as I touch the outside handle it unlocks.

I also find it annoying that there is only a lock button on the passenger door. I've had the same issue as "discov". In my old Range Rover Sport, the passenger door had a lock and unlock button--that set up is better and very common/standard in many vehicles.

Default Don’t pull so much

Passenger can unlock the doors by partially pulling the door handle, but not pulling far enough to unlatch the door.

Yes - exactly. As per the manual, small pull on the handle to unlock all the doors. Pull hard to open. Rear ones just unlock that door. Front unlock them all
