We purchased a used 2018 Discovery TD6 last Oct. it only had 36k miles on it and now has a bit over 40k miles. Right off the bat on the drive home we had a code for NOx sensor. Replaced that then the telematic control unit went out. The. Noticed the windshield leak. Once we sorted all that it’s been fine…oh actually we had the incorrect DEF fluid issue too. So far the last few months have been fine. Love the power and fuel mileage compared to the 2015 LR4 we had. Crossing our fingers she will have years of worry free ownership ahead.

I do plan to do oil changes every 8k miles rather than the 16k. I also did get a power train only extended warranty.

Based on your driving, I would skip the TDV6.

Good maintenance records is key.

Every vehicle has issues. Land Rover is one that you have to maintain meticulously.

Good Luck!
