Discovery 5 Diagnostic Tool
Hi
I have purchased an “iCarsoft” diag tool LR v3.0 for my 2020 Discovery 5 Diesel 2.0ltr.
I am unable to use any of the service functionality on the tool, e.g. service reset, force DPF etc. everything else is fine and useful.
Have LR blocked access to these service areas?

I had the Icarsoft v3 for sometime before selling it. I found it helpful with my d2 but not on my d4 or later d5. Now i use the gap tool for both my d4 and d5. The GAP tool has been updated earlier this year to support post 2017 vehicles. So far zero issues doing everything you mentioned as well as the ability to add an extra key. Might be worth looking into.

I recently had a check engine light on my 2017 D5 Si6.
I connected my Foxwell NT650 Elite which both failed to identify the cause and failed to reset the light.
Which is quite normal for this device - it has never really been any use on any vehicle I've attempted to us it on (register BMW battery, Mercedes code read, etc.).
I then plugged in my inexpensive Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 OBD2 Fault Code Reader which was about $20.
I then connected to it with my phone via OVD Auto Doctor Car Scanner or maybe it was Car Scanner app.
It told me the code was Evap system and gave me a code number and I reset the light turning it off.
I tightened the gas cap and the light hasn't returned.
Try the Vgate. Bought mine on ebay. Worth a try.
