EPB wont release HELP!

Default EPB wont release HELP!

Im at work right now got into the car and noticed epb light flashing and yellow brake warning light on I need to get home and the disco wont release its parking brake anybody know a quick fix so I could just drive it home

My go to would be to disconnect the battery for 30s then reconnect. See if that resets it. If not, you may have a more serious issue.

Might sound obvious, but before you do that, did you turn off and lock the SUV, wait a few minutes and try again? I have had a number of minor quirks disappear doing that.

Quick update locked the car and let it sit and didn’t do anything. Then proceeded to disconnect the battery let it sit no luck. Towed it to a euro shop nearby they took apart the calliper and the actuator for the EPB, inside gears were stripped calliper and actuator needs to be replaced cost for brand new including labour was $1600 CAD. Ended up going with used calliper and actuator for $800 including labour and tax
