The thread pattern definitely looks like a sport summer tire.

It's very strange. Mine came with Eagle F1 asymmetric AT SUV 4x4 tires at 20inch. They are all season. We had it in NH in a heavy snowstorm at the weekend and it was great
TireRack lists these as OEM for the 20inch wheels

But if you select the 21inch it shows oem as the same tire without 'AT' in the name and lists them as summer vs all season

Seems like you should be warned as those are not safe for cold winter use - with or without snow

M+S rating is a joke. It could barely take a bite in light snow.
The GM used this M+S rating as proof that these were rated for snow and NOT summer tires. I looked up what it takes to get the M+S and it's basically meeting a certain geometric design criteria. It's based on a tires geometry and not an actual test on how they actually perform in mud and snow. Another article i came across says they measure traction only on hard packed snow and mud and if it goes, then its good enough to get the stamp! So the M+S rating really doesn't mean much if this is the case. The first time i noticed how horrible they were was in light snow! My BMW i3 which is RWD on snow tires would run circles around the Disco with these tires in any amount of snow on the ground.

I looked up the 20" version and the thread pattern is different and actually looks like an all season and is listed as an all season tire. It's a different tire for sure, compared to the 21" version. Even says in the description light snow traction.

I am not using the Goodyears during the winter months. I swapped them out for Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires and they have been a huge improvement. There is no comparison with how the Disco handled in the snow with a dedicated winter tire vs the Goodyears and that should be expected. I'll swap the Goodyears back in the spring.
