I would be interested to know if a Verizon sim would work in my 17, here in US.

@jaacina @gmfain there's nothing in the LR hardware preventing you from using whatever SIM you want that fits. Most carriers let you add on a BYOD data only SIM into a family or shared plan for about $10/month that lets you share data in your plan. The only other trick is to ensure the SIM is set up for hot spotting. If you keep an eye out for Promos, they might even give you more data.

Hi Luke, did you get this up and running? I have used a Three sim card for the last two years and that worked fine, Vodafone seems to work ok too but I absolutely cannot get an EE sim card to work - ive tried 3 of them,

Best way to test (in US):
- go to your carrier of choice ( of the 3 remaining) and do a compatibility check on their web site - you will need to provide the vehicle / device IMEI
- if the IMEI is accepted as device, then yes.... you may be good to go.
My 2 cents (based on past experience): probably will work with ATT only. On my previous Velar I tried with TMO ( which kinda worked, till it stopped a few hours later) , tried with Verizon - it was a no go from the start, and if worked great with ATT.
Best of luck.

I tried a Verizon SIM card in my 2020 Discovery, no luck. Went back to AT&T connected car. May give T-Mobile a try down the road

Use any card! Mine didn’t work ever, so popped in an extra I had with T Mobile, got it as a promotion, and I’m in business now.
