As we are in the middle of nowhere in Mexico, I bought a Kingbolen K7 scanner when we got the dreaded warning last week. It took a little, but it reset everything. (U$400) Info on youtube for procedure. If the problem comes back, at least we can reset and make it to civilization
The biggest trick was to have the ignition off before it says: turn ignition on.
