Default Re New To Landrover

Obviously a newbi. Little or no discount will be offered. If you go in thinking you’re buying a Chevrolet, they will blow you out the door. Go in knowing you’re a Rover person and can appreciate the special nature of your purchase, then maybe you can make a small deal. Rovers are only for a special breed, not domestic car buyers who think they can wheel or deal. I’ve blown out many for that type of thinking.

what is it like to be a special breed?

you are likely going to pay close to sticker. maybe could get $1000-1500 off a 2017 since it's near the end of the year.

At least short bus special, but I think you get my point. You pay the price and fix your sins later.

I did a lot of shopping around for a discount. If you can get $1000 or so you are doing well from what I have seen.
Also be careful. If you buy from a dealer out of town and expect to get a loaner when your car is in for service you might be surprised.
Dealer here said ".........no loaner, you didn't buy it here".

That blows my mind. I'd bring it up with the customer service guy there that you love taking the email surveys they do and you will specifically mention that both there and in an email to corporate... see how fast you get a loaner and apology. What is it lately with dealerships and this behavior? And this is definitely not that I condone being that sort of pushy customer at all, but at least get LRNA to sense that their customers are aware of this sort of change. They used to treat people way right.

.....

As to our "special breed" man, can't wait for him to come back and chime in about his credentials.
