Default Question re: Unilatch Keyless Entry Recall

For those of you who have completed the Recall NumberN798

How do you now unlock and lock the vehicle?
Can you still lock it by touching a depression on the door handle?
Can you unlock it by touch or do you now need to push a button on the key fob?
Does every vehicle get the Unilatch Keyless system disabled or just some vehicles that might have a problem?

SummaryA concern has been identified on certain 2017 to 2020 Model Year Land Rover Discovery vehicles where customers have reported a rear passenger door is unlatched when in the closed position and no reported indication provided of an unlatched condition on the instrument cluster. Some customers have reported that a rear passenger door has opened while the vehicle was in motion.

Safety RiskRear passenger doors not latched may during driving, open. This can increase the risk of a vehicle crash or compromise the safety of vehicle occupants.

Remedy. Owners will be notified and instructed to take their vehicle to a LandRover approved dealer who will complete the required repair to disable the Unilatch Keyless Vehicle (KV) entry function on the vehicle.

How do you now unlock and lock the vehicle? You pull the handle once to unlock and a second time to open the door
Can you still lock it by touching a depression on the door handle? Yes
Can you unlock it by touch or do you now need to push a button on the key fob? Yes by touch ( it's not always reliable for me, and I often have to find the fob &#128580
Does every vehicle get the Unilatch Keyless system disabled or just some vehicles that might have a problem? Not sure.

Thank you for those answers.
Two pulls on the handle is just fine with me.
My BMW works that way.

@ponderosajack Not every vehicle receives it. I took mine in and they inspected it for water intrusion. If there are signs of that then they will do the recall, otherwise they send you on your way.
