Hi all,

I’m a new owner of a used Disco 5 HSE Luxury 2019 and the rear seat entertainment has been incredibly unreliable and temperamental. Sometimes DVDs work, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes screen mirroring via a HDMI to Lightning cable from the iPhone lags, sometimes the sound comes on but no video and sometimes video comes on with no sound. I’ve tried multiple HDMI leads to check it wasn’t a cable issue and the HDMI x Lightning connector is the official Apple product and brand new. I’ve ensured all the software is up to date through the settings. Does anyone have any ideas or advice or anyone experienced similar issues? Thanks in advance

 

What infotainment version are you on? You can view that via the touchscreen

I have a 2018 with RSE. Had it from new. It was quite glitchy early on and got much better stability with updates. Note that I didn't use the HDMI - just local DVDs so not sure about that functionality

That said we really don't use it anymore as the kids have phones or a cheap Amazon fire tablet for $80 that is much easier to use...

 

thanks for much for the reply. Our software version is S22A_22.32.4-928505. It won’t allow me to update any further as claims is the latest??

 

That's a pretty recent version. Back in earlier versions they weren't enabled for over the air updates. But you are well past that version
