Does anyone know if the seat control panel located at the second row door can simply be popped out?I’ve tried them a few times since getting the truck and they never worked but just figured I was doing something wrong, (maybe I needed to have the ignition on or the truck running) but this time I walked to the passenger side, it worked and only then did I realize the buttons on the driver’s side seemed depressed further already.
when trying to pull a button towards me its a bit loose, the other button also comes forward a bit which leads me to think the dual-button mechanism isn't attached to the surrounding panel. If it's held on by friction or a small clip, I'd try to pry it out and see if I can re-seat the switches. It just seems like a waste of time to bring it to the dealer if it's just this.
You should just be able to use a trim removal tool... Sometimes they are tough to pop out depending on what is holding them. I do not believe there are any screws holding that part.
That was also my thinking as well, I actually remove some on a regular basis when cleaning a work truck. My issue is that on one occasion in the past, I broke off 2 retaining hooks that were molded to the plastic panel as I removed it from the wrong direction. I was curious if this may be the case which is why a picture or diagram of the part would help.
