Does anyone change the oil pump while doing this service I have seen on other forums with the td6 they replace it but is it worth it to do it. Also what should be changed when getting this job done.

Sorry about the late reply. The job has been completed. My son did the work, he's a certified mechanic. I bought the kit for about $200, it included the belt, 2 pulleys, the tensioners and a new bolt. The job took him 2.5 hours, he said it was one of the easier timing belt jobs he had done due to the amount of space to work - he did not lock the crank, he used a timing mark on the crank pulley and relied upon a good fit for the pins. Water pump felt fine, no obvious leaks anywhere. (2018, 95K miles).

My mechanic said it wasn't necessary to change the oil pump at the 112K mile mark.
