Very interested in getting clarification on the hitch weight specs. I saw somewhere it's 820 "distributed", which I'm assuming means "with a sway bar" - but also somewhat disappointing since several of the trailers we're looking at all have a hitch weight that slightly or greatly exceeds that number. (looking at Airstreams, if anyone has experience with the two brands together, please feel free to chime in!).

 

No driving experience towing AS but similar due diligence. The 25” AS have more tongue weights than D5 spec 770lbs, and seemingly more than the 27’ & 28” ! A good buddy ended up getting a 2500 to tow his AS 25’ (mind you he put a Tesla battery innit).

We’re downsizing out of our monster fifth wheel & seemingly limited with AS to the 23’. So at the point i’d rather get a fibre glass monocoque (Bigfoot / Escape / Olive) or something like an Opus 15. It doesn’t help that there’s no inventory.
