Hi I just ordered the Brake cotnroller and it arrived but I bought the Hopkins 47715 Connecter I was just wondering if that was the right connector

Do you mean to plug into the OEM harness under the dash? I had to get a separate harness to connect the two together... Search Tekonsha 3065 harness. This type of harness is readily available for ~US$15. It is made primarily for Fords. kj

Yea I bought a separate connecter from Hopkins though is that the wrong connecter do I need to buy the tekonsha one to connect my hopkins brake controller under the dash

Not necessarily the Tekonsha... It just needs to be the 'Ford' harness. Look at the picture to see the two ends. I want to say I got mine from Autozone. Since it is for Ford they are very easy to find.

mine is a ford harness but its an older ford model harness its showing Lr4 LR3 and F150 ect

the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional - C51180 looks pretty simply with the factory hitch. no need to run hardwire and take the Discovery apart...
