Default Waze Integration Questions

Just purchased an '18 HSE and see that only 3 iPhone apps show for InControl.
Not sure which infotainment version I have at this point.
Is WAZE able to be integrated with a software update?
Is WAZE able to be used on-screen along with the radio?

WAZE is one of the apps available in the smart phone pack. The update that includes the smart phone pack must be done at the dealer. Note that WAZE will still not be in the In Control apps after the update, but rather will be part of the Car Play feature.

As said above Waze is a phone app that will have to use Carplay or Android Auto. When you use either of these the infotainment screen is controlled by the phone, and ti will show the App that is being used i.e. Waze. The infotainment screens will not show at the same time, but the radio, etc can still play music while the Waze app is working on screen. It does mute the radio slightly while Waze is providign audio directions.

You can still see the Audio in the IP, if it is configure that way. However you need to exit the Carplay/AA on the infotainment screen to adjust audio input, etc. I have not tested using the steering wheel controls to change stations though (which should still work).
