ah that’s different. I live in Texas and don’t know what Ice is so I apologize I thought you saw a pile of ice/snow and forced it on. Definitely go by the dealer. While there make sure you get everything updated software wise. It will be a free upgrade!

 

Haven’t looked at my Disco but every other car I’ve had has a bolt or nut on a stud under a removable or flip open cover where the wiper arm attaches to the shaft that rotates the arm. Usually but not always this attachment point is splined but some are not and if that’s the way the D5 is made you should be able to just tighten the nut or bolt. But don’t strip it or damage the drive motor and make certain the arm is in the correct parked position before tightening. Maybe yours was loose and maybe your other one is too loose too.

 

You can set the wipers to the winter park position. This allows you to lift it from the windshield, it also seem less likely to freeze in that position as it is more angled.
