Another note, the supercharger rebuild kits are less expensive these days and you can always try to track down used or refurbished parts.

3 years ago I replaced my Dakota (almost same as your Durango) that I had for 10 years with my P38. I loved it so much I added a D2 to my fleet. If you work on them yourself, and avoid LR dealers for parts, they are not expensive to maintain. I suspect you won't regret buying an LR, and will fall in love with it very quickly.

I took it for a test drive today and committed to it. It's far from perfect but it runs well, pulls strong and sounds great. It seems like everything worked but there are a few glitches I'm hoping my buddy's shop can straighten out before I bring it home. Is anyone here in Northern NJ and has an IID tool I can use for 15 minutes one day soon? I'd like to plug it in while it's still at the shop and I'm not in a position to buy the truck and a $530 tool and, and, and... I'll get one soon but need to sell my old beater truck and the car with the dead motor first.

I'm stoked to join the community in a week or so.

Well, 3 weeks because that's how long my local DMV is backed up for appointments for new registrations. Soon soon...
