Default Checking in from OK

How is it going ladies and gents, My name is Robert but go by Bobby. I am a 24 year old gear head that is new to Rovers but not to 4x4's, off-roading, drag racing, or forums. I just bought my 2005 LR3 yesterday as a more reliable and roomy alternative to my 2002 Camaro z28. I love it so far, haven't been able to play around to much yet but plan on doing so very soon. I understand the problems that come with it if not careful, I look forward to learning more about them and getting to know some cool people.

Welcome. Factory shop manual set is a free download at links below. Try not to wait until 150,000 or ten years to change tranny fluid or coolant.

Are you planning on taking it offroad? If so you'll have to visit Disney, OK at some point. Also the South Central Area Rover Rally hosted by Texas rovers and the Arkansas Rover Society Rally are two I've been to that were fun. I'm not sure if there are any Oklahoma groups.

What part of Oklahoma are you in. I'm in the Tulsa area. We have several Rovers in the family. My wife and I both drive D2's and sis-in-law has a LR3.

I haven't found any Rover clubs yet, but haven't really looked either. Haven't tried any off-roading, but I'm adding a 2" lift in a few weeks so I'd like to try some easy stuff after that's on.
