Exclamation DANGEROUSE PROB! steering wheel sticks

hi, thanks in advance. i've got a disco II and my steering wheel sticks hard when i turn shape to the right. it happens right before or when it reaches the end of turning. it sticks hard and takes a lot to "break" it out, otherwise i'd keep turning. dont know how it happened, bought it this way. checked underneath and nothing seems to be bent or broken. any suggestions on what it could be? thanks again.

i would find out as much as i could as far as previous owners/ vehicle history, good chance is you need a new steering gear. if i had to put my thumb on it w/o driving the vehicle, someone over torqued the steering gear trying to adjust it for better steering causing it to stick. another place *easier* is to maker sure the correct level of ps fluid is in the vehicle and the correct type. since it is not a directionally favored issue, i would say that you need a new ps gearbox. good luck brotha man... if you need anymore help feel free to come back
