discovery start problems
Hi everyone,
My husband has a 1998 discovery and I dont usually drive it. Its his pride and joy though. We have just moved from the warm coast to the cold mountains and this am it was in the 20's. I took the kids to school and drove the discovery. It started ok and when i returned home i turned it off and then realised that i need to adjust the seat for my husband and tried to restart it. Yes i did put my foot on the accelerator when i started it,but it started and then cut off almost immediately and wouldnt restart although it fired the next time.
My husband had to go to work so took my car and has left me with instructions to try and start the car later today and see what happens. any advice for what could be the problem and how it can be fixed? I would be really grateful
Thank you

Some times these trucks can just be testy. Sometimes I'll turn the key in my 96 and it won't even try to crank for the first 2 or 3 tries, but then it will start right up after that without a hitch. If you can't get it to start at all I'd say there's a problem, but I'd say to try at least 5 times and if it won't start even then you might have a problem.
