Default First time LR owner

OK, after 25 years of owning a GMC truck I finally decided to make a switch. I was just tired of the big trucks and wanted something a little more managable around town. I do fly fish quite a bit so 4x4 and some room in back for gear and sleep were on my must list. To be honest my first choice was to get an old 50-60 Jeep/****** wagon and fix it up. My wife put a stop to that idea. So after much searching and analysis I chose the LR3. I found a nice 07 at the local Land Rover Dealer (Portland) and took the plunge. Although I have only had it about a week now I am very happy, not only with the LR but the dealer as well. I did all my test drives late in the day/night when it was dark. I notice a small chip in the windshield the day after I bought it. I called them and explained the issue. They said no problem and are sending someone out tomorrow to repair it. I am now looking for a quick release hitch and some cross rails for the roof rails. I am looking at some Thule podiums to attach to the LR rails. Has anyone used those and if so how do/did they work out. The Quick release HITCH... anyone got one for sale a a reasonable price?? Although at this point I'm not sure what reasonable is. I've seen everything on EBAY from $275 to $500.
O' one last note...I'm hoping/planning to keep this LR for about 20-25 years...by that time this LR will be a classic like the ****** Wagon.
