Default First time owner, in the Green Mountains of Vermont

Just got a 2002 Discovery with 70,000 miles and love it so far!!!

Welcome, review the tech area for 60K mile service things to do and lots of other common fixes. Free download below of entire factory manual set, including owners, shop, electrical, etc. Do not let over heat. Do not let get above normal on heat gauge. Grease the front and rear drive shafts, if no zerk fittings rebuild as per tech section. Will make a chirping sound before front shaft flies apart and spears a hole in transmission. Install a new battery, the D2 is heavy on electronics and does not like a wimpy battery. Bad battery can make alarm system immobilize the car.

Check fluids every week, without fail.
