Hi, I have been thinking of picking up a Discovery for a trail cruiser, camping vehicle. However after reading this and another forum I have to ask, are these thing really this unreliable? I know that people don't post to say how well everything is going so I am not totally put off.
I was looking at a couple of 2001-2002 D2's but after reading some more I am wondering if a D1 wouldn't be a better choice.
I guess I am curious what are the pro's and con's of each?

Also, if you use www.statewidelist.com, you can search all of craigslist for a whole state, for "Rover", your price boundaries, dealer, personal, or both; and the output is grouped by city. Also handy for finding a scam, as they frequently list in multiple cities. But it will give you a "range" of prices on Range Rovers and Land Rovers.
