Default Hello All... Help Please...

Hello All,

Thanks for the great forum. I've been lurking on this forum for a while now waiting to buy my Discovery before I signed up.... well I just bought my 03 Disco HSE. I've attached a picture to share with everyone.

Here's the bad news.... Someone crashed their van into my Disco last month. They hit me from behind and pushed me into the car in front of me.

I need help. I keep insisting to the insurance adjuster that my rear door has been bent. (i notice a curve between the hinges) they say its normal. anyone on this forum have gap measurements that I can base my arguement on?

Also what should I look for with regards to (unseen) damage.

Thanks all and thanks for the great forum.

You should go to Rover dealer, have them inspect it and if it is bad have them document the problem. I would then give the to the adjuster along with the bill from the dealer, that would take care of it.

Thanks but I've not found any Rover dealer who has a body shop here in Northern California.

Do you know where I can get my hands on Land Rover Disco specs? ie: door gaps measurements etc...

You don't need a dealer with a body shop, just one who can compare your door to another in the shop. If the dealer agrees, have the adjuster meet you at the dealer ship and the 3 of you work it out. I wouls tell you, my dooe panel is completely flush with no curves or wrinkles.
