Hello! I'm new here. I've just bought a Disco II about a month and a half ago (Jan 5), and I love it (naturally, since it's my first car). I've been reading these as well as other forums, and I'll say I'm very impressed with the community around these awesome vehicles. Looking forward to meeting everyone

 

Welcome. By now you must have seen posts about heat gauge staying at 50% over a wide range, say 130 - 240 F. A scanner or Ultra Gauge will show you the true temps. And that front drive shaft needs attention, either rebuild so it has grease fittings on every joint, and grease every oil change; or replace with after market. Sealed bearings snap and the shaft flails around and pokes hole in tranny. Without warning in some cases. The factory manual set is called the RAVE and is a free download below.
