Hey everyone I've been reading up a lot here on the forum and trying to educate myself some more for about the past 2 months. We actually have a LR3 but I've been looking for a Discovery 1 for about 2 years now. I thought I had found the perfect one about a month ago and was chasing it for about 3 weeks. It was an SD with no sunroofs, cloth/manual seats, 5 speed R380, etc. We agreed to pay the guy and that we wanted the car, we were just working out the shipping. Well after trying to get ahold of him earlier this week he told us he sold it to someone else. So I'm back looking. But I think I may have found another. Thanks for having me!

 

Welcome. Complete tech and owner manuals in the RAVE download below (Rovers A'int Very Economical - but you already knew that). One source is www.statewidelist.com, which lets you index craigslist for Rovers in your state and sorts output by metro area. Handy to know what's out there.

 

Thanks! Yea I'll be sure to download the RAVE (it's the first thing you guys recommend for a lot of things!) And I was using SearchTempest - All of craigslist. One Search. which is pretty handy. Of course 99% of the ads are "ICE COLD AC 4X4 AWD THIS DISCOVERY CAN GO ANYWHERE!" so it's hard finding a good one.

That's for sure! It aint a rover unless it's covered in rust and leaks just about everything!
