Hi all stumbled across this site while looking for ideas for a diy roof rack for my D1, Been a land rover owner since 2013 when I picked up my disco very cheap with blown head gasket.


She's been a fairly reliable car tho I have had a few problems, 3 head gaskets (head now been skimmed), Clutch, Clutch release arm, Water pump, Starter motor, Crank sprocket, Shock absorber's all round, Propshaft to rear diff bush x 3, Slave cylinder, Master cylinder and still has an annoying immobiliser fault.


Then theirs the welding both inner wings (fenders), Both A pillars, Caps on both B pillars, Outer ceil on right side, Right foot well and floor, Right rear lower arch, I am in the middle of repairing the right inner quarter panel and wheel arch.

Left side I have already repaired foot well ,Floors ,Lower arch, Wheel arch, Outer ceil, Inner quarter panel and Boot (trunk) floor.


Have added few mods roof bars, Abar with lights, Sound system and ebay keyfob immo push button start kit with a electronic steering lock from a Renault scenic.

This forum looks like a great source and information and hope I can also help with the knowledge I have gained from owning a land rover.
