Hey guys! I am a missionary living in western El Salvador. I have been driving a series III 88 and just bought a 2003 Discovery SE7. Love them both!

Welcome. On the D2, see https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...section-32402/; the write up on rebuilding front propshaft. The front driveshaft as a stock unit has no grease fittings where needed, it can fail without warning and poke a hole in transmission, which in the States is about $7,000 at a dealer. Under $100 proactive fix in the write up. These trucks are prone to overheat, keep cooling system in tip top shape and investigate any reading of temp gauge above 50%. In the tech area you'll find write ups for things to do on a new to U high miles Rover.

You'll find this in https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...section-32402/

Also, the free download link below gets you the RAVE, which is the factory shop and owners manual set. Some owners carry this on a usb drive, in case mechanic needs the reference. In addition, see Land Rover Manuals for a number of series III manuals online.
