Hey folks
I am an avid offroad guy. I got into this for myself and my 3 girls (Wife, and 2 daughters) can do something outdoors together. We are all about the discovery of cool places to picnic, play in the water, and play. We have done some pretty challenging things together as a family.
I have had Toyota Fj's, Jeeps, and currently own a 2013 Jeep Rubi. I have always loved Land Rovers but the timing never seemed right. We are looking at an LR4 and will be making a purchase in 2013. I really enjoyed reading up on different vehicles on this site. Especially the maintenance part of the sites. I enjoy being the home mechanic and besides a few quirky but manageable things general maintenance does not look to be impossible. Keep those threads coming.
I am in Palm Harbor Fl and am always looking for a good place to ride. Feel free if anyone wants to go offroading with a ....Jeep guys and soon to be Land Rover Jeep guy
Cheers

Factory shop manuals linked below, called the RAVE. Two important things I can mention are overheating (factory guage does not always speak the truth - but points at 50% from 130 to 240F), and front oem propshaft had no grease fittings on one end, which allows that sealed end to bake dry and split, then it attacks transmission case. Rebuild in advance article in our tech area. Many owners like the 180F thermostat and the Ultra Gauge as upgrades.
