Hi, I'm a Brit recently retired to Bulgaria. I needed a 4WD for access to my village in the winter snows, so bought a 2001 Freelander 1, don't laugh

It's done 112k Miles and had it checked over at a Peugeot main dealer before buying, they gave it a general thumbs up so I went ahead with the deal and got them to service it and fit a new cam belt.
Looks like it's had the thermostat mod judging by a couple of diagrams I've seen of the cooling systems before and after.
It's fitted with dual fuel, petrol/LPG which is very common here. Runs great on petrol but jumpy on LPG and VERY heavy on fuel, so that's the next thing to get checked.

Other than that I'm fairly happy with it, and will only use it for pottering around discovering this beautiful country and the odd trip down to Greece and Istanbul.
