Default New Guy from NC

Hello everyone, new to the site and Land Rover. Just bought a 2001 Disco II a week ago and already in love with it. I have one question though on the side where you normally would see the model (SE, or LE) I have HSE. I have search everywhere for a 2001 Disco II HSE and can't seem to find it. Is there such a model or did previous owner put it on there?

Thanks,

Welcome. While waiting on one of the historians to comment, take time to download the RAVE, which is the set of facory service and owner's manuals, electrical manual, shop manual, etc. Check out the technical section of the forum for things to do to a new-2-u high miles Rover.

Change your oil early and often (like 5,000 miles). Don't let heat gauge go above mid point (engines are very intolerant of over heating). If you hear a "chirp" park the truck, the front drive shaft is about to pop and impale the transmission. Don't run Dexcool coolant. Install a new battery - lots of wierd little problems related to marginal battery.

Have a great time, post questions and pictures in the regular areas of the forum.
