And all these years, I thought I was a Jeep guy. I was well on my way to purchasing my third Jeep until the dealership I was heading to sold it out from under me before I could even get there. I searched far and wide for a new Wrangler but kept coming across a 2009 Land Rover LR2 about an hour and a half away in Birmingham, AL at the Land Rover dealership. I decided to go drive it and bought it on the spot. It rides better than the 2015 Jeep Patriot I wrecked last week, and certainly rides better than my old 2000 Cherokee. This is a fun vehicle to drive. The odometer reads just over 101k miles, the engine is quiet, it’s been well maintained, and my kids love the two sunroofs. This will be my daily driver to and from work. So far, I’m happy with my purchase, and they treated me very well in the Land Rover dealership. It never felt like I was hassled to buy a car, I loved the experience and will consider purchasing a newer Land Rover when it’s time to get a new family vehicle. I’m looking forward to getting some roof rails and putting my Yakima rack on the roof. 2009 Land Rover LR2
