Well - since I've posted twice I guess I need to introduce myself!

Greetings and Salutations from North Florida!

I have been lusting after a friends Land Rover Discovery for the last 5 years...finally bought it off him this month!
Funny how the grass looks greener on the other side!

So now I have a 1996 Land Rover Discovery 1 with over 200K on it. The exterior looks great - except for the paint on the raised roof.

Under the hood I found vacuum leaks, oil leaks, un-plugged wires - the normal stuff. After about 3 weeks of tinkering with it early in the morning to avoid the heat it's about done.

I can handle the oil change - but the first grease job will probably sub-contracted out!

Anyways, a couple of pics are in my Album - feel free to look and let me know what you think. Go ahead. I'm thick skinned!

Greetings to the forum. Lots of great guys and gals on here with a wealth of infomation. Use the search tab above for questions as you not the first to come across a problem with a Land Rover product... Enjoy the frustration and joy that comes with owning a classic British vehicle

Thanks for the welcome.

I've been steadily working on it to the point that it's being driven daily back and forth to work.

Every day I try to pick a project and get it done - before it gets too hot or it rains.

I've been on many other forums, here and overseas. I think I've found the right place here!

Thanks!
