Our family MAY be the owner of a 1995 Discovery.

My son is considering purchasing it and I would like to get an idea if the deal is worth it.

Here it is:

1995 Land Rover Discovery

We are working out the details of the sale and if we get it we will be paying $6,000.

As a 1995 Jeep Wrangler owner and one who has done a frame up rebuild I know that consulting a good forum goes a long way in making good decisions.

Consider that you can buy a D1 in running condition from $1500 - $2300. Like 1995 land rover discover . Then add the cost mods that you will use, minus 50%. Example - if he had a $2000 stereo, who cares? It brings in the same football games as a $100 radio. I'm not a big fan of paying top dollar for mods, but that is a personal choice. Also depends on age of the offspring. If this is to be first car, etc.

All that said, it looks like a great rig. So what is wrong with it to sell it after all this labor of love to produce it?

 

Not my son's first vehicle. He's 21 and looking for a good rig. This one looked good and has all the mods that he would want and doesn't have to do the labor.

The individual selling is a Land Rover tech and is on to his next vehicle.

Looks like we will be getting it tomorrow minus any surprises.
