Hi - I'm looking at a '65 Series 11a 88inch Delux "Wagon". This is pretty-much what I have been looking for: a frame-off restoration of a classic, but economical 4wd.


It has an overdrive and comes with a 12' trailer (which I haven't seen yet, and I assume matches...).


I am going out of town for a month, as is the owner, so we will make a deal when I come back, but the asking price is $15,000 Canadian, which seems to be a pretty good deal already.


All is in good nick, but the engine is original, he has listed it as having 15,000 miles, but I assume that is after the restoration. I will check the compression - what should it be??

Any comments or bewares??


My only thought is to get rid of the original steel wheels at some point, but not urgent. Oh, and to mount the tyre on the back.
