Salutations! Disco 2 Owner *
I've been creeping around here for months, but I figured I might as well intro myself since I actually feel indebted to you all now :')
Got a 2001 Disco 2, Champagne in color, quite a few owners on the carfax but at about 130K miles on it altogether now, got it at 124K.
Since I've got it, I've replaced a saggy headliner, headgaskets, a window regulator, a busted hose, a rearview mirror ding, replaced lock system on driver's side, repaired a rotting chassis, the classic 3amigos wiring mod for the shuttle valve switch, had a new back left panel replaced to fix a dent from previous owner, replaced coils with Terrafirma mediums, replaced both front and back bumpers with the steel options from AB, and lifted 2 inches. Also have some beefy 265/75/16 tires on now too.
Having a few stokes of bad luck with her these days though... a lot of dead battery moments when I go to start her up (but battery is relatively brand new and holds great charge), no human error that can be found in leaving doors open, lights on... there is a leak under my glove compartment when it rains hard sometimes.... and my heat/cooling never seems to be regulated through my trips and oscillates between extremes (but gauge on the dash remains neutral).
Any words of advice on the latest issues?

Mine had a leak around the glove box area. It was leaking past the floppy lower window seal and into the blower inlet. I made a shield to deflect the water from entering the inlet.
