The GF and I just became owners of a 1991 Range Rover Classic (Country).

We're located in Victoria BC Canada (Vancouver Island).

Myself I have been wheeling since I was a kid (back in Alberta), I'm a huge fan of the way the Aussie's build trucks.

I grew up spinning wrench on American made Muscle and 4x4's which eventually got me into BMW/Audi/Volvo. So knock on wood, I will be able to do a lot of the work myself.

Game plan is restore and build up for mild overlanding (rock sliders, front and rear bumpers, under carriage body armour). Will eventually be a semi DD with monthly off road use (Pacific Northwest).

Once we get it home and I get a few photos, I'll start a formal build thread.

Have a ton of questions but will save those for the build thread.

Welcome to Land Rover ownership. You mentioned LRs are Aussie built trucks. They are actually made by the British.

We also have a local BC Roverlanders club: The Rover-Landers of BC ? Land Rover Enthusiasts in British Columbia

Yeah I know they are British built, what I was referring to was the way Aussies build up their off road rigs in general.

And will take a look at the link and yes, hope to make it out to an event or two.
