Anyone else think corona is a joke
Someone earlier mentioned being bored. Boredom is no joke ha! I’ve cleaned out the shed, the house, the cars. I’m considering ordering a chainsaw just to cut down dead trees. Shouldn't I own a chainsaw anyway? Yes. Working on building a fire pit. Shot a groundhog yesterday. Flying kites with my son. Reading more. Crossword puzzles. Trying different grilling techniques. Bird watching (yes nerdy). Thinking of a good business idea out of all this. Stay moving out there folks!

Still runs - Bird watching is cool... we keep a book and binoculars in the vehicles for spur of the moment 'oh what's that?' sightings.
I can't imagine reading junkmail, Brian
Jim thinks I'm crazy because I spray down all mail with Lysol and then store it in the garage for a week before opening it. He orders Bovril beef paste from the UK and that is all I heard about for an entire week. 'Are you going to bring in my Bovril?' lol. The stuff is nasty and smells like a tannery - there is no way you'd see me spreading it on bread
I was pretty impressed with myself the other day because I seasoned a cast iron dutch oven like I knew what I was doing. Couldn't believe it turned out so well and also seasoned the sheet pan below it (oops) that was supposed to be catching oil drips. Something I'm well accustomed to haha.
Best 4x4... probably not a bad thing that you're taking a little break right now (minus taking care of the kids and mulling over work schedules, etc.) and taking time out for yourself. You seem to work a lot on your Rovers and are a wealth of info on the forum. Rest, if possible, isn't a bad thing - especially if there is a possibility that you are carrying the virus. When I was unemployed years ago (almost 2 years in the recession of 2002), the one thing I wish I had done differently was to try and enjoy the time I had had at home. I was so worried about when I'd go back to work and paying the bills, etc. that it was hard to just be in the moment. I'm trying to not let that happen to me this time around even though the circumstances are definitely weird and uncertain. Our nation, and world, has been through trials and tribulations before, and I have to believe that, with time, things will go back to some type of 'normal' again.
ihscouts... happy to hear that you're doing well and are looking forward to the future and new projects. Stay safe eh? I just used the last of my vacation time to keep the money rolling in. Figured if I ever go back to work I'll be happy to be there.

Yeah I went in on Monday to get tested for Covid19 so I can inform work if I am + or -, so we'll see how that turns out. I have zero symptoms and honestly I haven't really touched a LR since this all began. It's been yard work, kids, wife, and then some online training (which is hard with kiddo's running around and I've noticed issues with my internet once people started to stay home.
I actually ordered a new vacuum advance for the 95 D1, some type 74 LED bulbs for the dash/clock/hvac, and some AuxBeam Eagle 9003 LED headlight bulbs (I like them because the fan is inside with the LED's vs outside like most). When those show up yep I'll be tinkering with the LR's a bit.
The weather has been beautiful and I want to be outside all day long. I'm not really worried about the $$$$ as like everyone says we'll all get back on our feet eventually. My youngest little girl is making me just smile everyday. She is at that innocent age of 3.5 years old and I love watching her all day. The oldest is 7 and she has cabin fever BAD lol.
If I had my engine stand back that I loaned out months ago and haven't seen since (probably never will see it again) I'd probably pull the 4.6L out of my 04 and slap in the 4.6L I rebuilt with a cam and new bearings top/bottom. If I get told I'm + for Covid19 I'll just do a Gods Must Be Crazy setup and use one of the LR's with a winch, a ****** block, a big oak tree, and yank it out that way lol. With my luck though the weather would turn on me leaving me with a bit of a pickle.

I was awaken by a call at 3am telling me one of my friends in Las Vegas passed away yesterday from covid. At 44 years old, he complained of trouble breathing and bad headaches on Sunday. He passed away 5 days later in his home while quarantining.
He makes the 7th person that my wife and I personally know who passed away due to covid.
Stay safe...

Sorry to hear that juke, that’s far to young. My sister in-laws grandfather passed last Friday from it and now his wife is sick with it. My old neighbor who is a nurse contracted it at the hospital where she works and now her husband and both kids have it. ****s getting real around my parts now. Stay safe everyone
It's everywhere unfortunately
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's passing Juke and your sister-in-law's grandfather, Richard. My husband's aunt passed away recently in London. Her husband also had it, as well as her son, but they seem to be on the mend. She was such a lovely woman.
I can't seem to get over the fact that vaccines are being distributed already and our loved ones are dying. It's so tragic.
I hope everyone is staying safe and doing all that they can to stay healthy.

Can't say it is a joke, but I think it is blown way out of proportion. comparing it to the flu, it is less severe. The media is blowing it way up because they can. My wife caught it and went through it she was pretty miserable but now is fine. I got quarantined from work for 14 days, even though I wasn't around her (I was at a training class in another state) I walked in the door and she told me she had it. I asked at work and they said I was required to do the 14 day quarantine. Luckily I could use what was left of my vacation. I go back to work on Monday. Never got it, and no symptoms. just lost my vacation.
I find it interesting my Aunt who passed this fall was listed as Covid related when she has been fighting with ALS for 8 years, and finally lost the battle. Covid wasn't even involved and she died at home with loved ones. However, I wasn't allowed to fly down for the funeral/memorial service. It was recorded and played on youtube for the family and friends.

Anyone here parroting the Hype needs to look at the flu statistics for previous years. Those are worse the Corona. One year 1 billion people were infected.
Yes sick people, fat people, diabetics, and others with pre-existing conditions or who otherwise can't be bothered to watch Rocky and get into a training routine... are going to be hit hardest. Unfortunately old people also sad to say.
If the only exercise you get is sitting in your Rover - you're at risk.
It's the flu. The flu comes every year. Except this FLU was about accomplishing an elite globalist objective. Mail in ballots, pillaging small businesses, slowing down the fiat money system. So many reasons.
Ask yourself - why doesn't China have any infections?
