Very sad.

It looks like speed was contributory and one might ask what the hell were 10 people doing in a Defender and were they wearing seatbelts and did they have airbags that deployed? Unfortunately life appears cheap in some countries around the globe and these sorts of accidents are commonplace, also in southern europe as well.

One has to realise that the body shell of a Defender without a roll cage is probably far weaker than most ordinary cars and any strength is in the chassis. The bodyshell is merely an alu can on top of the steel chassis.

On viewing the sickening vid for the second time it appears there are some gruesome and ghoulish people there and no police or officials around. WTF, where are the emergency services and police? ................. in any civilised country people would be helping the injured or the emergency services would have made the area an exclusion zone not mindless ghoulish idiots traipsing through the blood and gore of the accident victims. One despairs of so called humanity.

Yet another unnecessary road RTC, agreed the road culture around the world irrespective of vehicle used will always be compromised when going further than what it's designed for, safety is far down the list for some.

RIP
