Land Rover Worst Vehicle Rating
I was referring specifically to the report. I thought it was referencing either 2012 or 2013 didn't realize it was a 3 year study because I didn't bother to open it.
Land Rovers contribute much more to the world economy then any other make on a per capita basis and that is vitally important to job retainment and job creation. How many auto part factories and repair shops and jobs in general do you think that a Toyota contributes? You are so right. Not many. On the other hand how many of the same do LR's contribute towards? Very many. So in net effect owning and upkeeping a Rover is a far greater personal patriotic economic gesture no matter what country one resides in. The more people that own Rovers the more solid is the ongoing continuing economic prosperity in the world. If you truly want to make a difference in the world and keep people working and happy then buy a Rover versus buying a Toyota. Toyota owners are selfish misanthropic misers interested only in themselves and hoarding their money all the while denying others gainful employment. Rover owners on the other hand are a happy philanthropic breed who heartily believe in keeping their good neighbors employed and contributing to the general prosperity of all. Rover owners believe in a strong trickle-down-economy where they do a heck of a lot of trickling down for the benefit of their fellow men and women. Buy/own a Rover and help eliminate starvation and family disintegration or buy/own a Toyota and contribute to the fall of all Mankind. Your choice. I know the choice I have made and it benefits the upward swing of all Mankind.
You have INSURANCE on your rover???

I wasn't either, I was commenting on your SUV of the year awards. Land Rover has frequently won them while being at the bottom of the JD Power survey. JD Power and SUV of the year are completely unrelated.
I understand they are different although the results are kinda contradictory
I don't know. JD Power strictly (as far as I know) reflects owners complaints.
The SUV/Truck/Car of the Year awards usually reflects journalist impressions and how easily they are impressed by a new car.

The journalists favorite is continually the least reliable. That sounds stupid. After 5 years of picking it as their favorite and the less then favorable reviews you think their initial opinions of the brand for SUV of the year would be tainted. Then again it's my favorite brand of SUV so I guess my views are just as stupid.
