Default power steering fluid

Hi,

I just got my 2004 Discovery and my steering wheel feels little heavy to turn. I took it to the shop to drain and replaced fluid. I got two 1 quart containers of Lad Rover power steering fluid which I gave to the repair shop and they gave me 1 quart back, what is the capacity of the power steering system, is it just 1 quart?

I cannot say for sure how much oil the PAS system holds but it is very little, at a guess between 1 to 2 pints hence the return of the quart (2 pints) to you. Whether rightly or not I always use ATF in my PAS system as I believe it's the same as PAS fluid.
